HEYBRIDGE Swifts grabbed their first home win of the season against visiting Cray Wanderers.

Swifts secured a 2-1 Ryman League division one north victory at Scraley Road thanks to two first-half goals.

The home side opened the scoring on ten minutes when Reece Morgan powered home the opening goal.

Neil Richmond doubled the lead on 29 minutes with a shot from 16 yards before Cray added some second half pressure.

An Adrian Stone header on 55 minutes reduced the arrears.

Cray came close to an equaliser in the 90th minute when Adrian Stone fired over from close range.

Maldon and Tiptree, however, fell to a 4-1 defeat at Redbridge.

The home side opened the scoring on 32 minutes through Charlie Parish.

The scoreboard wasn’t then bothered until the final minutes of the game saw four goals.

Chinedu McKenzie doubled the home side’s lead on 80 minutes.

But a minute later Cliff Akurang scored to bring Maldon back into the game.

However, Ryan Carolan grabbed a goal for Redbridge on 82 minutes before McKenzie wrapped the game up on 90 minutes.

Burnham Ramblers fell to a heavy 5-1 defeat against visiting Ware.

Ajet Shehu put the visitors ahead on ten minutes.

But Bradley Nobbs scored an equaliser 20 minutes later.

However, Ramblers were reduced to ten men when player-manager Bertie Brayley received a red card on 40 minutes.

Kieran Bishop and Charlie Ledua increased the lead in the second half.

Then Bishop added another before Tommy Wade added the fifth.
