MALDON and Tiptree boss Terry Spillane was disappointed as his side fell to a double defeat.
They lost 2-1 in a Ryman League division one north home encounter against Wroxham on Tuesday night, following on from their 1-0 defeat at Sudbury on Saturday.
Wroxham made the breakthrough on 21 minutes through Jamie Forshaw.
Remy Gordon then put them 2-0 up on 70 minutes.
Jack Stevenson threw Maldon a lifeline and Ollie Berquez went close to grabbing an equaliser but his header went just over.
Maldon, however, couldn’t gain a share of the spoils.
Spillane said: “I am not going to paper over the cracks.
“We need to start scoring goals.
“We need to turn a corner and I am sure that when we do we will be the force that we should be.”
