Four minutes later it became even worse when Ben Sartain was received a straight red for dangerous play.

Brightlingsea Regent secured a 3-2 win at Waltham Abbey.

Russell Malton gave the visitors a second-minute lead before Darelle Russell equalised from the penalty spot 14 minutes later.

It was a tough day for Burnham Ramblers as they were heavily beaten 7-0 at Dereham Town.

They also were reduced to ten men when skipper Kye Jude was sent off with the score on 5-0 for a second yellow card.

Witham Town had victory snatched away from them by visiting Billericay Town.

The home side were leading their Ryman League premier division match 2-0 but in the last 13 minutes Billericay fired in three goals to take the win.

Witham took the lead on 51 minutes through Josh Mayhew.

Witham doubled their advantage on 65 minutes when Danny Emmanuel scored.

However, Billericay reduced the deficit in the 77th minute when Ricky Sappleton headed home.

The visitors drew level in the 86th minute when Richard Halle fired home from the penalty spot following a handball.

And Billericay snatch all three points on 90 minutes when Sappleton broke through to score the winner.

Witham did have the ball in the back of the net before the final whistle but Mayhew’s effort was ruled out for offside.
