LEE Elliston has resigned as Burnham Ramblers manager.

The former Woodbridge Town boss only took over a fortnight ago but a new opportunity at work means he is unable to dedicate the time needed to his role with the club.

In a statement, Ramblers said they were confirming Elliston's departure with "deep regret".

They also thanked him for his honesty.

Burnham, preparing for the Ryman League division one north season, are now looking for a new first-team manager but hope to be able to make an announcement in the next few days.
