HEYBRIDGE Swifts boss Jody Brown praised his players after they secured a vital three points.

Swifts recorded a 2-0 victory against visiting AFC Sudbury on Tuesday night to keep their Ryman League division one north play-off push going.

Brown said: “That was a really important game for us.

“I was expecting it to be a tough match.

“It was our fifth in nine or ten days and Sudbury are a strong, physical side.

“So I’d like to give the players a massive pat on the back for their performance and ability to keep going.

“It was a vital three points and the players have gone right to the end of the match.

“We have been doing that a lot lately.

“We have got players with pace and when the game opens up towards the end they are really effective.

“And we look like we can score late on.

“That’s what we have been doing, and when you keep doing it you believe you can do it.

“And we have that belief.”
