MALDON and Tiptree manager Terry Spillane believes his side are now out of the play-off hunt.
That is despite his side claiming a Ryman One North 2-1 win against visiting Redbridge on Tuesday night.
A string of bad results saw the Jammers drop points before they got back on the winning trial.
Spillane said: “I’ve got to be honest, I think we are out of the race now.
“We are playing for pride now. There are a lot of talented players here and we will go out and do our best for this club.
“Hopefully, we can now go and build on this result and go on a bit of a run.
“We are not looking at other results now we have to concentrate on our game.
“It’s an odd game but you never know what can happen if we string some wins together.
“And we can start that at Tilbury on Saturday.”
