FURIOUS Keith Wilson has branded Burnham Ramblers’ lacklustre display at Aveley as “embarrassing and unacceptable”.
The Ramblers boss tore into his players following their 3-0 defeat on Monday night, describing it as their worst performance of the season.
A below-par Ramblers were comfortably beaten in their one-sided Ryman League division one north clash at Mill Field.
And that has prompted Wilson to threaten to wield the axe, ahead of Burnham’s trip to play Chatham Town, on Saturday.
Wilson said: “It was embarrassing – our worst performance of the season by a country mile.
“It was unacceptable and I will not suffer it again, because it simply wasn’t good enough.
“The only player in my starting line-up who came out of it with any credit was Charlie Kirby.
“He was our best player by a country mile – he didn’t stop running and giving everything.”
