Witham Town have confirmed that tonight's Ryman League division one north game against Maldon and Tiptree is on.
The game between the local rivals will be the first home fixture that Witham have had since December 7 abd kicks-off at 7.45pm.
A waterlogged pitch has scuppered attempts to play recent games at the Village Glass Stadium, but the club have said that there is no standing water on the playing surface now and they are confident that the game will go ahead.
The meeting between Witham and the Jammers at Park Drive earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw with Lewis Godbold on target for Town and Bradley Hunter replying for Maldon after the break.
