Burnham Ramblers had to come from behind to secure a point against Dereham Town.

The hosts salvaged a 1-1 draw in their Ryman League division one north encounter at Leslie Field.

Town took the lead after six minutes when Danny Beaumont made the most of a mistake from Danny Cossington to put the ball past advancing keeper Louis Godwin-Green.

Eight minutes later, however, Ramblers grabbed an equaliser.

Neil Richmond fired in an overhead kick after getting on the end of a Ricky Evans free-kick.

Richmond came close to taking the lead for the home side but Keeper Matt Powley pushed his effort onto the bar.

The second half saw both sides looking to gain the advantage but they couldn’t find the back of the net again and had to settle for a share of the spoils.
