Berquez racks up his one hundredth appearance for Maldon and Tiptree

OLLIE Berquez is setting his sights on more games after clocking up his 100th appearance for Maldon and Tiptree.

The midfield linchpin reached the magic milestone in Thursday’s 5-1 rout against Brentwood.

His on-song side followed it with a dramatic 4-3 victory at home to Chatham on Saturday.

And with a 12-point lead at the top of the table, prior to last night’s game at AFC Sudbury, Berquez hopes for another celebration before the end of the season – by winning the Ryman League division one north title.

“It was great to reach my 100th appearance,” said the former Stevenage man.

“Someone told me earlier in the week and I was really pleased and proud.

“It was also nice to reach that milestone in a much-needed win. It seems to have come round quickly, as this is only my second full season at Park Drive.

“But hopefully there will be many more to come.

“I’m in good health, enjoying my football and pleased with my contribution, so long may it continue.”
