THE RECEEDERS, one of Essex' premier Rock, Rhythm and Blues Bands formed in 1987. They have now played more than 2,000live shows. Founder member NICK BELL, on guitar and vocals has a long and varied musical past, currently featured in three historical books on the market, mainly centred on his days as road manager with Deep Purple and Badfinger. Nick has been at the forefront of the Southend music scene for the past twenty-two years. He plays one of the sweetest guitars this side of the Atlantic.

Singer and harmonica player, PAUL THOMAS has been in THE RECEEDERS ranks since 1990. A semi-professional musician since the age of 14, he is a former winner of the Best Young British Harmonica Player and a member of the now defunct National Harmonica League, being enrolled in 1978.

The band has enjoyed an almost unchanged line-up and cult status throughout the years. The band played everywhere. Rock festivals, Beer festivals, Biker shows, Farmer Shows, British Arm Wrestling Championships, Charity Shows, Long Running Residences, Folk Festivals, Private Parties and Chief Support for bands like Dr. Feelgood, Otis Grand, Big Town Playboys and Chicken Shack.

Guitarist, CHRIS TAYLOR, joined THE RECEEDERS when he was 16 years old and now plays in EDDIE AND THE HOT RODS. THE RECEEDERS continue to play Rock and R&B, not only covers including Billy Boy Arnold, Albert King, Dr. Feelgood, Mickey Jupp, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clacton, Bob Dylan but also their own self-penned songs including "You got me Rocking", which is a well established live favourite.

Powerhouse, rhythm section, DIPSTER on Bass and SIMON BOWLEY on drums, completes the band; both also play in EDDIE and the HOTRODS (www.eddieandthehotrods.com)
