A man has been left with life-changing injuries after being hit by a lorry on the M25 near the Dartford Crossing.
The carriageway was closed while an air ambulance landed at the scene on Tuesday evening at around 7.30pm after a lorry was involved in an accident with a pedestrian.
The crash happened on the anticlockwise between junction 29 for the A127 and junction 30 for the A13.
The motorway was closed immediately, leaving traffic approaching the Dartford Crossing at a standstill so the air ambulance could land at the scene.
A man, who is in his 30s, suffered serious and life-changing injuries to his lower limbs and was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital for further care.
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust also dispatched a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and an ambulance officer to the scene.
It is also thought the Metropolitan Police and Highways England officers were at the scene.
