Four people were injured in a horrific car crash where one elderly woman sustaining life-changing injuries.
The accident happened in Noak Hill Road, near Basildon, at around 4.45pm on Thursday November 16.
A silver Vauxhall Combo smashed into a grey Ford Fiesta which was travelling the opposite way on Noak Hill Road.
A silver Vauxhall Astra, which was travelling behind the Fiesta, crashed into it and rolled over.
The Fiesta driver, an 84-year-old man from Billericay, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The Fiesta passenger, a 75-year-old woman from Billericay, was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries.
The Vauxhall Combo driver, a 58-year-old man from Basildon, was taken to hospital with a chest injury.
The Vauxhall Astra driver, a 27-year-old man from Billericay, suffered minor injuries.
We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Jack Sneath at Chigwell Roads Policing Unit on 101.
