A homeless charity has opened a new shop to celebrate a successful 15 years of business.
Harp, Southend’s homeless charity, was established in 2002 and marked the anniversary by opening a new charity shop on Eastwood Road North, Leigh.
The shop was officially opened by Deputy Mayor Derek Jarvis.
Shop manager Peter Bond said: “Our shops are so important; not just to raise money, but to engage the community in our mission to end rough sleeping too. Whilst many donations are sold and the profits used to support homeless people, some donations go on to directly support someone in need.”
