A MUM has thanked concerned residents who jumped to her son’s aid after he suffered an epileptic seizure on his bike.
Harry Gleeson, 18, was cycling to start his shift at Argos, in Pipps Hill, Basildon, when he suffered the seizure on Whitmore Way.
The teenager, who was only diagnosed two years ago, fell unconscious while still on the bike, and concerned residents immediately jumped to his aid, making sure he was OK until an ambulance arrived.
His mum, Wendy, said: “He was probably only unconscious for a minute, but it can be really scary for anyone who sees it because they don’t know.
“A few people immediately jumped in to give him some support, and waited with him.
“We are all really appreciative.”
