British Transport Police officers have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with an incident at East Tilbury Railway Station.

Just after 2am on the morning of July 14, two men were seen breaking into a ticket vending machine with cutting tools on platform two, resulting in £40,000 worth of damage.

Cash and coin compartments were also stolen along with the credit card reader components.

Police are appealing for any information about this act of vandalism and theft and have reason to believe it may be connected with a number of other incidents. 

Investigating officer DC Michael Stephenson said: “ There has been significant damage and loss as the result of this criminal activity and we are keen to hear from anyone that may have information in connection to this incident.
