A MAN has been arrested after a police raid discovered more than 100 cannabis plants worth thousands of pounds.
Officers swooped to a unit in Charfleets Industrial Estate, on Canvey this morning with a search warrant.
The Castle Point and Rochford Community Policing were joined by officers from Essex Police's Operational Support Group to carry out the search.
A team broke down gates to the unit to find 135 plants at various stages of development.

A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene, and officers have estimated its street value is worth thousands of pounds.
He remains in custody where he is being questioned by police.
