A MAN was pushed down a set of stairs, punched in the face and robbed as he walked home in Laindon.
The victim, who is in his 20s, was walking away from Laindon railway station along High Road and down a set of stairs out onto Manderville Way at around 6pm on Tuesday, February 7.
He was then pushed from behind and punched in the face.
His wallet, which contained a number of items with highly sentimental value, was stolen.
Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly a member of the public helped the victim up after he was attacked.
