A SALVATION Army branch has unveiled a brand new home for a range of community events.

Hadleigh Temple SA, in London Road, Hadleigh was finally able to open a new purpose-built facility, on the site where two former Victorian cottages stood.

It means a 13-year quest to make use of the site for extra events now comes to a close.

Major David Woodman, from the branch, says he was delighted with the work, believed to have cost about £400,000.

He added that the Salvation Army will be able provide more community events, including a job club.
