A nine-year-old cat is looking for a new home after both his owners sadly died 14 weeks apart.
Sid, a black and white cat, was owned by the man who was found collapsed near The Jellicoe pub, on Canvey.
Despite the efforts of passersby Gaz Melville and Tracy Priest, the man sadly died.
His wife had passed away 14 weeks before.
The cat is now in desperate need of a new home.
He needs to go to a home where there no children or dogs, but he is fine with other cats.
He loves a fuss but doesn't like the bottom of his back, near the tail, stroked.
He has had all his inoculations and was checked over on Monday by the vet.
Sid is being looked after by friends and family, but is urgently seeking a new home.
Anyone who can offer him a place in their heart - and sofa - should email marionb1955@hotmail.co.uk
