ONE of the nation’s best known coffee chains could be coming to Pitsea.

Plans have been revealed to revamp a unit in Pembroke House, Northlands Pavement, which could be home to a new Costa Coffee shop.

London and Cambridge, the property developer which led the town’s £30million regeneration project, has applied to extend a unit facing disabled parking spaces.

In the firm’s design and access statement, it aims for the Costa store to create 15 new jobs, and to add “vitality to Pitsea.”

A final decision on the proposed development is expected to be made in March.
