FIREFIGHTERS were called to Wyatts Drive, Thorpe Bay, following reports of a girl stuck in the mud.
Crews from Leigh and Southend had to use a rescue path to bring the 11 year-old, who was stuck up to her waist, to safety.
The emergency services were called shortly after midday.
The girl was left in the care of paramedics.
