A Lourdes pilgrimage trust based in Thurrock is holding a goodies sale in Grays this Saturday.

The 'flash sale' will be held after a Lakeside store kindly donated goods to help raise money for next year's pilgrimage.

The Lourdes pilgrimage takes sick, disabled and special needs people from Thurrock to Lourdes in France every year, with doctors and nurses using their unpaid leave to help out.

Organiser Pierina Kavanarf said: "This will be an ideal time to buy for Christmas and all proceeds will go towards helping Thurrock's sick, disabled and special needs people to go to Thurrock in 2016!

"Everyone is welcome!"

The sale will be held from 9.30 to 12pm this Saturday at St Thomas' Hall on John Street, Grays with free tea, coffee and biscuits.

Patient's on this year's Pilgrimage Trust Thurrock Hcpt gave glowing reports of this year's pilgrimage to Lourdes this summer.

On their last pilgrimage, a number of Thurrock doctors and nurses took unpaid leave to assist in caring for people with disabilities to ensure the patients received a holiday to remember.
