NEED to see a pharmacist over the Bank Holiday? The NHS has put together a list of pharmacies open on Monday.
As the Echo reported last week, Patients in Rochford and Benfleet can now book doctor’s appointments at weekends under a new system launched by GPs in the two areas.
Castle Point and Rochford Clinical Commissioning Group is running a pilot scheme at selected surgeries in Benfleet and Rochford.
Appointments to see a GP or nurse are being offered between 10am and 3pm and can be booked on the day.
Southend already has seven-day GP services at the St Luke’s walk-in centre in Pantile Avenue, but appointments cannot be booked in advance.
Anyone needing advice or help over the Bank Holiday weekend can also call the NHS 111 advice line which includes dental emergencies.
