CHILDREN and adults with a desire to tread the boards are being asked to audition for a forthcoming production of Oliver!
It is being put on by the Thurrock Thameside Musical Society, in July.
Director Scott Dean, who regularly puts on productions around south Essex, is looking to cast two groups of children, aged between eight and 13, to perform on alternate nights at the Thameside Theatre, in Grays, and is also on the look-out for two Olivers and Artful Dodgers.
The society is not only opening this production up to children, but adults, too.
Scott said: “We are always on the look-out for new members to either audition for parts or be in the chorus.”
Children’s auditions will be held at Orsett Village Hall, at the junction of High Road and Mill Lane, in Orsett, on Sunday, February 15. They will start at 1pm.
