A MAN is facing jail for using his summerhouse as a drugs factory.

Daniel Campbell, 25, admitted using the building as a “bash house” – cutting high purity cocaine with other substances.

He pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis resin when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court.

The court heard police discovered a holdall containing eight wraps of cocaine in 0.5g parcels and 0.25g wraps of cocaine folded up in Lotto tickets.

Officers also found drugs paraphernalia including two sets of scales and weapons including a black air gun and a knife.

Experts estimate the value of the cocaine found at Campbell’s house to be between £500 and £700.

In his defence, Campbell, of Milford Road in Grays, said he was only dealing to his friends.

Recorder Robert Glancy ordered a pre-sentence report to be completed before he faces sentencing.

Campbell will be sentenced on the week commencing February 23.

He was released on unconditional bail until his next hearing.
