THE first tenants in a unique new village housing trust are set to move in within days.

Eight homes have been built as part of the Rose Builder's Summer's Park development off Cox's Hill in Lawford and then gifted to the new Lawford Housing Enterprise Trust.

The scheme is unique and the first of its kind that provides new homes to locally-connected young people at reduced rents, helping them to save for purchasing a new home of their own in years to come.

Owner of Rose Builders Steven Rose, said: "We are very pleased to be delivering these new homes for the direct benefit of young people of Lawford.

"The low rental levels and rebate arrangement gives young Lawford connected people a chance to live in their own home and provides them with the real opportunity to save a deposit towards purchasing their own home in years to come.

"The Lawford Housing Enterprise Trust is a unique organisation and with further houses to come from our future developments there will be a real and increasing tangible benefit for the young people of Lawford in perpetuity."
