SPORTSMEN and women bowled their way to raising more than £500 for charity.
The Harwich and District Indoor Bowls Centre in Ramsey handed over a cheque for £563 to the East Anglia's Children's Hospices last week as part of ongoing fundraising effort.
Club member Betty Cornish said the money was raised from open days held at the club.
She added: "Volunteers and supporters of the club's open days gathered together to present the cheque, which is the proceeds collected through their hard work in organising and running these events.
"The Indoor Bowls Club members recognise the reliance of the charity on donations and have supported them for several years."
