THERE were smiles all round as Charter Hall played host to a circus which entertains those who may not normally be able to attend.

Circus Starr gives free seats to disadvantaged, disabled or vulnerable children and raises funds for charities and rolled into town last week.

And the acts put smiles on the faces of parents and children at the two sold out performances of the show.

Businesses buy the tickets and donate them back to the circus which gives them away to disabled or disadvantaged children and families who have applied for them.

The director of Circus Starr, Michelle Crossley, said: "We’re thrilled to be back in Colchester today with our brand new circus show for children who would otherwise struggle to experience the magic of live performance due to their needs or circumstances.

"We’d like to say a huge thank you to the businesses who’ve helped make this event possible and whose donations brighten the lives of children coping with all sorts of challenges in their young lives.

"Our shows give families who need it most a rare opportunity to let their hair down, set aside their worries for a while and make wonderful memories together."
