Man denies sending package containing explosive device to home
A MAN has denied delivering an explosive package to a house.
Wayne Jeffries, 54, was charged with causing an explosion likely to endanger life or property after an incident in Othello Close, Colchester, in December 2016.
A package containing a number of 300ml lighter gas canisters and wirings was taken to an address and exploded when it was opened.
Jeffries, of Glisson Square, Colchester, denied the charge at at hearing at Ipswich Crown Court.
Judge Rupert Overbury adjourned the case and set a trial date for September 3.
