A TEACHER has been charged with drink-driving after allegedly being caught more than four times the legal limit.

Michelle Peason, 44, of Chapel Street, Rowhedge, was arrested in Newland Street, Witham, on Wednesday at 10.55am.

She was later charged with drink driving after allegedly failing a breath test.

Police say her test recorded 183mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

The legal limit is 35mg.

She will appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 5.
