IT was game, set and match for pupils from Tendring Technology College as they rocked the night away at Frinton Tennis Club.

Year 11 school leavers descended on the venue for the traditional prom party, rolling up in a range of weird and wonderful vehicles.

Proud parents and teachers watched as the glamorous students arrived to celebrate the end of their exams.

Student support manager Helen Appleton said: “It is a beautiful venue and a fitting place for an amazing evening.

“From start to finish, the evening was a great success.

“A real highlight was watching the students arriving in style in a range of vehicles that included an Indian tuk tuk, a tractor and a Lamborghini. We had friends, family and teachers there. Everyone wants to see them arriving.

“So many people come down to take pictures – it was amazing. It’s lovely to watch the parents. Some are laughing and others are crying. The whole thing is just beautiful.”

“We decorated the venue and there was a barbecue and a chocolate fountain. Everyone had a fantastic time.

“At the end we had to turn off the music because they just didn’t want to go home. Everyone was rocking about on the dance floor. It was amazing to see.”
