A GROUP of student police officers will cycle eight hours for children’s cancer charity.

The team of 13, self-titled G1 will continually ride the static bikes at High Chelmer shopping centre on July 22.

The fundraiser will raise money for JACK (Joining Against Cancer in Kids).

The charity supports families wishing to undertake innovative treatment for Neuroblastoma.

Their website states their purpose is: “to assist children and their families by providing advice and support relating to their wish to participate in the medical treatment of Neuroblastoma.

“The support will include financial aid in order that treatment costs can be paid.”

Probationary officers are encouraged to raise as much money as possible for a local charity as part of their curriculum.
