HIGH-TECH footage has been released showing the replacement bridge being installed above the A12 at Kelvedon.
The A12 was closed northbound between junctions 23, Kelvedon south and 24, Kelvedon north, whilst engineers worked to replace the Ewell Bridge from 10pm on Saturday until 4am on Monday.
The Southbound carriageway was also closed between junctions 25, Marks Tey, and Junction 24, throughout the weekend.
A diversion route via the A131, A130 and A120 was introduced.
Work is expected to continue on the replaced bridge until the end of June.
Pedestrians who want to cross Ewell Bridge will continue to be diverted to take Highfields Lane, Maldon Road and Ewell Hall Chase.
The old bridge was removed by engineers back in April.
