HUNDREDS of people gathered to mark the tenth anniversary of a factory’s Colchester home.
World renowned fan manufacturer Fläkt Woods hosted a family fun day to mark the firm being based in Axial Way, Colchester, for a decade.
About 300 attended the event which included a barbecue and an ice cream stall.
About 225 people took part in factory tours and there was a variety of family fun games including basketball into ducts, space-hopper races, giant buzz wire and the stocks.
Garden Games Hire also supplied garden Jenga and giant Connect 4 for the event while kids were able to enjoy a bouncy castle and face painting, provided by Jayne Cornell.
Working fans were put on show and visitors were able to witness factory testing and x-ray.
The fan on show was a 2.8m diameter Axial Fan which has been manufactured for a new 365.4km highway in Greece.
Each fan weighs ten tonnes and is powered by a single 710kW motor, which is equivalent power to almost 65,000 energy saving light bulbs.
The fans will be used for smoke extraction.
