THESE images show the V Festival campsite field - exactly one week since the event finished.
With hundreds of seagulls circling, mounds of rubbish stacked five meters high towered on acres of land just off Hylands Park.
Taken on Monday (August 29), the images show empty food and alcohol containers, tents and sleeping bags, and cushions and traffic cones all left behind by festival-goers.
A spokesman for Chelmsford Council said contractors had cleared the piles of rubbish since the images were taken.
Workers continue to clean windblown rubbish.
The spokesman added: "The V Festival campsite area is on private land and is separate to the public areas of Hylands Park.
"The Park itself was cleared substantially by Saturday lunchtime, with skips, bales of compressed cardboard and bins being collected by lorries over the weekend.
"Teams have been out collecting any remaining loose rubbish in the public areas."
"The waste heaps were in marshalling areas of the campsite, which are private and are fenced off with security access, so they represent no hazard to park visitors."
She added clean-up of the site is done as quickly and efficiently as possible every year to restore the park to tidiness.
