MERSEA sailors are ready to dance to a different beat for Olympian Saskia Clark.
Sailors will 'Samba for Saskia' during the island's Big Picnic on Sunday.
Hundreds of picnickers are expected to descend on Mersea Beach, as they did in the lead up to London 2012.
Her supporters are encouraging people to decorate their beach huts as well as their picnic spots.
A community cheer and good luck wave is planned for 3pm at the Monkey Steps.
Saskia, 36, won a silver medal at the London Olympics in the women's 470 class, learned to sail in the Dabchicks Sailing Club’s youth programme.
Her first coach, Ray Smith, who continues to inspire a new generation of sailors, will also be on hand to join in.
