BURGLARS broke into a house in search of keys to a Mini parked outside.
They approached the front door of the house in Braintree and knocked, making sure no one was in.
They then forced open the back patio doors and ransacked the house.
Cash and jewellery inside the house were ignored as the burglars were in search of car keys to a Mini Cooper Hatch worth £14,000.
Nothing was stolen from the house in Keeble Way.
It happened on July 13 at 3.45pm.
Anyone with information should contact Braintree Police on 101.
