It’s one of those neverending battles – the quest to be rid of your fatty bits.

Sometimes no amount of dieting or exercise can blitz them but many cannot bear the idea of going under the knife to achieve this.

Now the people of north Essex will get the chance to use the technology favoured by a number of celebrities as a new practice is being launched in the town.

Rachael Sturley is launching her 3D-Lipo Clinic in her premises at Top Notch Health Club, on Severalls Industrial Estate.

Having had the 3D-Lipo treatments done herself Rachael Sturley was already a convert.

The procedures involve nonsurgical fat removal, cellulite reduction and skin tightening.

Fat is broken down and is secreted out of the body via the lymphatic system.

“I was a hairdresser and I stopped to have my children but then was looking for something to run as a business.”

Maldon and Burnham Standard:

Championed by stars including England footballer Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen the machine uses a variety of noninvasic treatments to target specific areas such as the dreaded bingo wings, the stubborn “mummy tummy”, orange peel thighs and tightening up loose skin from previous weight loss.

Rachael says she was initially inspired by Lord Sugar’s apprentice winner, Dr Leah Totton, who introduced the machine to her beauty businesses in 2013 and fellow Essex businesswoman Amy Childs.

The former Towie star launched the procedures in her own Brentwood salon last year while a similar service is also already offered to body-conscious residents in Southend at Essex Laser Lipo, Cliff House.

Rachael says: “I have experience of having had it done and found it instantly gave me inch loss and, because I didn’t think it was something being offered in this area, I looked into setting it up as a business.”

But she is keen to stress while the results are immediate – it is not a quick fix.

“You have to combine it with a healthy diet and exercise or it will go straight back on.

“But so many women really struggle, no matter how much time they spend in the gym, to get rid of those stubborn bits of fat in certain places, or to fill out the skin left from where you have lost weight for example.

“And for those who just could not face having an operative procedure this is a really good alternative that I believe gives good results,” she says.

The body-boosting treatment promises to permanently blast away fat cells, tighten skin and even banish cellulite – and celebrities can't get enough of it.

As well as Coleen and Amy Childs, fellow WAG Alex Gerrard and X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke credit it for their sleeker silhouettes.

It is one of four treatments the machine can carry out.

“It uses ultrasound which disrupts the cell membraneand creates a vibration and the fat cell cannot stand the pressure it puts it under and it breaks down very quickly.

“The best way to describe it is like what would happen if you did the same thing to an egg yolk.

It would burst and turn into liquid, which is what the fat cell does and it then drains away naturally through the lymphatic system, through the liver.”

The machine also smoothes skin out using radio frequency, says Rachael.

“It encourages the production of collagen naturally, which fills out the skin.”

A dermology treatment is used to loosen and break down lumpy, skin which again escapes the body via the lymphatic system.

The final treatment is cryolipolysis which tackles the nemesis of many women – bingo wings – by freezing the fat cells.

Treatments take from 20 minutes to an hour and can start at £100 a session.

Rachael, who has just launched the treatments, says there has been a lot of interest and she is hoping it will take off quickly.
