BOYBAND singer Scott Robinson and the cast of Aladdin will be out and about in Clacton this weekend to meet panto fans.

The singer, from the band Five, will be joined by performers from the West End as he visits sites across the town on Saturday.

Scott will be starring in the panto at the town’s Princes Theatre from December 12.

Mick Skeels, Tendring Council’s cabinet member for leisure, said it will be the cast’s first visit to Clacton before the panto starts.

“We are all looking forward to another fantastic show from Polka Dot Pantomimes and we are sure it will pull in the audiences,” he said.

“Scott is bound to go down well and follow-on in the footsteps of Charlie Condou and Jeff Brazier from the previous two years.

“Tickets are selling fast so make sure that you do not miss out.”

The cast will kick-off their day at the Victorian Christmas Market at Clacton Town Hall and will be handing out goody bags and greeting customers from 10.30am through to 11.30am.

They will then head off on a walkabout around the town centre to meet shoppers.

From 1.30am to 3pm Scott and his colleagues will be at Tesco at Brook Retail Park and will then move on to Space Kingdom where they will finish around 4pm.

Performances of Aladdin run from December 12 right through until January 3.

Tickets can be booked by calling the Princes Theatre box office on 01255 686633 or by going online at www.essex-live.co.uk.
