A new group has been formed in a bid to tackle Witham’s parking nightmare.
A sub-committee of the environment sub-committee has been set up to manage parking problems in the Witham area after concerns were raised about Guithavon Valley, Mill Lane, Greenfield, Barley Fields and Bronte Road.
Councillor for Witham North ward, Chris Bailey, is chairman of the newly-formed group and will be joined by councillors Michael Lager, JoAnn Williams, John Goodman and Phil Barlow.
In order to address the many concerns over parking, Mr Bailey (pictured) will be inviting stakeholders such as North Essex Parking Partnership, Witham Rotary Club, residents’ associations, schools, local authorities and various other groups to take part in meetings.
