A disabled woman has been left feeling victimised and unable to go anywhere after vandals slashed the tyres of her car.

Valerie Nelson, 51, of Cressing Road, Braintree, has twice had breast cancer, and the chemotherapy to treat this caused problems with the cartilage between the discs in her spine.

She suffers with severe back pain as a result that sometimes requires her to use a wheelchair.

She parks her car, a silver Vauxhall Astra, directly outside her house as she struggles to walk very far.

Ms Nelson had been planning a trip to Felixstowe on Monday and went out to check her car on Sunday.

She saw the tyres had been slashed, in an attack she believes was deliberate.
