Braintree Museum hosted a family fun day.
The exhibition “War on the Home Front” included Jeeps, fancy dress, rationing cakes, wartime talks, a choir, arts and crafts, a book signing and more on Saturday 1.
Collections Manager Claire Willetts, said: “We had such a brilliant day.
“The museum was extremely busy and the choir was great."
The showcase was held as part of “The People’s Story” exhibition which marks the 70th anniversary of VE day.
