Primary school children who designed a flag symbolising the Witham constituency have visited it flying outside Parliament.
Pupils at Kelvedon St Mary’s Primary Academy, in Docwra Road, Kelvedon, won the best flag in Witham and the best in Essex in the 2015 Flag Project, which means the design was turned into a real flag to be flown at two events.
The children took a trip to Parliament Square outside Westminster this week to see their flag in pride of place.
It will be flown again at Runnymede in Surrey on June 15 to mark 800 years since the sealing of the Magna Carta.
