More than 800 people saddled up and used their pedal power to raise £30,000 for J’s Hospice.
Pedal for the J’s, saw 838 people gather in Admirals Park, Chelmsford, before taking on 15, 35 or 50 mile routes around the surrounding countryside.
One of the youngest cyclists to take part was Will Oakley, four, who raised £400 for the Chelmsford-based hospice, which offers care, respite and support for young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
He said: “I am cycling 15 miles because I hope it will help some folks.”
