Essex County Council has launched Lifestyle Essex, a new app for advice on healthy living.

The app is aimed at both members of the public and professionals working with members of the public as part of their job.

The app gives advice on a range of health issues, including smoking, weight management, mental health, physical activity, drugs and alcohol.

We all know that making the changes to a healthy lifestyle can be hard on your own, so Lifestyle Essex will signpost users to local support services in their area and tell them how to access them.

Chris French, Head of Commissioning for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “Whether you want to make healthier choices such as giving up smoking or taking more exercise, or you want to help someone you know by signposting them to local support services, Lifestyle Essex is the place to go for up to date and local information.”

The app is available now for both Android and iPhone by searching for Lifestyle Essex in the app store.
