PROPOSALS to convert a shop into a hot food takeaway have been turned down.
Kirby Residents’ Association had objected to the proposals for a property at a parade of shops in Frinton Road, Kirby Cross, claiming there was not enough parking.
They also claimed smells from a food outlet could affect neighbouring properties.
Tendring Council rejected the plans after ruling a takeaway would “significantly increase the disturbance” to nearby residents.
