A school hoped to create the next Alan Sugar at an enterprising event.

St Andrew’s Primary School, in Halstead, encouraged each class to pick a product or service they could sell.

They were given £20 to start up their businesses - which included a car wash and a tea shop - and parents were invited to come to the school.

The winning class was Pufflings - the Reception class - who made key rings and coasters to sell.

They made more than £340, with the school making £1,125 in total yesterday.

Pufflings will now decide how to spend the money.
