A school choir have the had the experience of a lifetime performing at the O2 arena in London.

In total, 19 pupils from St Andrews Primary School, in Great Yeldham, sang five songs to a packed audience of parents during the concert organised by The Young Voices Choir.

The eight to 11 year olds practiced for weeks to perfect the Andrew Lloyd Webber medley, the pop medley, When I Grow Up from Matilda, Lonely Boy and a Nelson Mandela medley, as well as learning a dance routine.

Music teacher Anna Martin said: “Everyone had an amazing time.

“The children also got to see Lucy Spraggan and a boy band performing, so not only did they take part in a concert, they also got to watch one too.

“We are definitely looking to go back next year.”
