More snow could be on the way for the Braintree district
Essex is braced for more snow tonight after the Met Office issued a Yellow Warning for snow and ice across the county.
It said 2-3 cm of snow is possible and icy patches are likely.
There was a flurry of snow across the Braintree district this afternoon but there were no reported travel incidents.
Saturday's Conference game between Braintree Town and Macclesfield Town was postponed because of a frozen pitch.
The referee allowed Witham Town's Ryman League premier game against Margate to go ahead despite a mini-blizzard before kick-off.
